The Sarah Version of Wontons

Hello!! I haven't done this in quite some time, I am bored and have a few things that I have made but have not yet shared, so here I am to share and possibly make you hungry! :)

I try not to eat fried foods very often (except for when someone puts french fries in front of me, I lose all self control then!) but love certain things that are normally fried, such as wontons, so I attempted to make my own "healthy" version of them:

Chopped up some carrots, green onion, garlic and grated some ginger - all of this gets mixed in with the meat. I chose to use ground turkey. I also added some soy sauce and pepper to the mixture right before I turned off the stove.

Then I laid out wonton wrappers and brushed them with egg whites.
(they sell the wonton wrappers in a package kind of like sliced American cheese)

I placed spoonfuls of the filling onto the wonton wrappers and placed another wonton wrapper on top of each one.

I actually don't remember what temperature I had the oven at, but it was probably at 400 degrees and I baked the wontons for about ten minutes (or until the became crispy and a little browned).

And voila! You've got yourself a healthier Americanized version of wontons :)
They turned out pretty tasty, and tasted even better with a little bit of spicy chile sauce on them!
